Ball Set for March 4, 2017, in the Chantilly Ballroomat the Hilton Anatole Hotel
On June 21, 2016, Junior League of Dallas (JLD) members, sponsors and donors gathered at the home of Joyce and Larry Lacerte to kickoff the JLD’s 95th Anniversary year. JLD Ball Chair Isabell Novakov revealed the highly anticipated Ball theme, Encore, alongside Honorary Ball Chair Karen Shuford. The 55th Annual Junior League of Dallas Ball will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017, in the Chantilly Ballroom at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.
“This year’s Ball theme, Encore, will celebrate and pay tribute to our dedicated past Ball Chairs who are now serving as Sustaining Advisors. We plan to showcase past Balls and bring back elements of our history once more for this Encore presentation,” Novakov said.
In addition to announcing this year’s Ball theme, JLD revealed Karen Shuford will serve as Honorary Ball Chair. Mrs. Shuford is a lifelong community leader and volunteer as a result of the training she received from JLD. During her active years, she served as Ball Chair and as President. In addition to her JLD service, she has served as president of Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas and the St. Mark’s Parents Club and chaired successful fundraisers including Cattle Baron’s Ball, Crystal Charity Ball, Dallas Museum of Art’s Art Ball formerly known as Beaux Arts Ball and the Senior Source Spirit of Generations Luncheon. Mrs. Shuford will be recognized for being instrumental in developing effective programs and advocating for organizations that support healthcare, education, social services and the arts in Dallas.
