Riveron Consulting Adds Dan Mares Director

Riveron Consulting,a financial consulting firm that helps clients maximize the value of both strategic and financial transactions throughout the business transaction life cycle, including acquisition, integration, operations and divestiture, is pleased to announce Dan Mares is returning to the firm as a director in the financial advisory service line at Riveron’s headquarters in Dallas.

Mares brings 24 years of experience to Riveron, where he previously worked for four years as a senior director as one of the firm’s first teammates. In his new role, Mares will again be responsible for assisting clients with services such as post acquisition integration, financial reporting systems improvement, audit, internal audit and technical financial reporting support.

Riveron’s CEO, Landon Smith said, “We are thrilled to have Dan rejoin our team! He is a proven leader who will no doubt continue to help us provide outstanding client service in our growing financial advisory practice.”

Previously, Mares worked in various leadership roles at McAfee, which was acquired by Intel in 2011. Most recently he served as McAfee’s Worldwide Controller. Prior to joining Riveron and McAfee, Dan spent 7 years in Ernst & Young's Assurance and Advisory Services Practice, leaving as a manager in the consumer products group, then spent 7 years at Perot Systems where he served in a variety of accounting and FP&A roles.

Mares is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
