The local CPA and strategic advisory firm of Goldin Peiser & Peiser, LLP (GPP) is pleased to announce the addition of Kristen Porter and Katie Thomas to its professional staff.

As a tax senior, Porter prepares and reviews federal and state tax returns, trust returns and gift tax returns, as well as partnership and corporate returns for various individuals and family groups. She serves clients in the oil and gas and real estate industries. Porter also works with international and private equity clients.

Prior to joining GPP, Porter worked for a Big Four accounting firm for several years. She earned both her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Science in Accounting from Texas A&M University. She is a member of the Dallas A&M Club Community Service Committee and Texas A&M Association of Former Students. Porter grew up in the Houston area and now resides in Dallas.

As an assurance senior, Thomas provides audits, review and compilation services. She is experienced in working with and auditing governmental and non-profit organizations, specifically HUD compliance and employee benefit plans.

Prior to joining the firm, Thomas served as a senior auditor at a Maryland accounting firm. She graduated from the University of Texas – Tyler with a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Thomas is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, she is the board membership co-chair for the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Baltimore. Thomas resides in Fort Worth, Texas with her fiancé, Jacob.
