Model Prep Helps Grow Confidence, Inner Strength and Beauty in Young Girls
Model Prep is an exciting new program, helping young girls become model young ladies, for girls ages 11 through 17. Girls need not be a model to attend. Founded by professional international model, Amber Griffin, Model Prep events are led by highly experienced industry professionals, who will guide each young lady through every part of the program, while learning with other girls of similar age. The dynamic program will delight and inspire the girls! Model Prep guides young girls to become the best they can be,both inside and out, through expert instruction and guidance. After months of building the Model Prep network, the first workshop will be held in late December 2016.
Model Prep is the first beauty and confidence-building seminar of its kind offered in DFW and beyond. Workshops will feature one-on-one coaching with top industry professionals and personal mentoring with the founder herself. Key skills the girls will learn include:
- Beauty, including hair and makeup application techniques
- Styling, including appropriate dressing for each girl’sbody type and age
- Runway, including confidently walking with poise and grace
- Photography, including head shots, profile shots and how to select a good photographer
- Etiquette, including table manners, posture and proper dinner conversation
- Branding, including appropriate social media presence and overall self-portrayal
- Health, including fitness and nutrition guidance
“We want to provide the right tools and guidance for young girls to navigate their teen years with confidence and poise,” said Founder Amber Griffin. “Being a mentor is a passion of mine, and I can’t wait to meet our first Model Prep girls! Whether these young girls have ambitions of one day walking a runway, or just walking confidently through the halls at school, Model Prep is open to all girls ages 11 through 17 looking for a little extra guidance and mentorship.”
Bornin Trinidad, Amber began her modeling journey in her late teens. She went on to model internationally for various fashion designers and brands in Paris, London, Milan and other European cities. With more than ten years in the industry, Amber discovered the hardships and the self-doubt that many young women face. She saw a need for a program to teach the importance of self-confidence and personal strength, focusing on classical fundamentals for becoming model young ladies.
