Mustang Creek Estates of Frisco Honors Area First Responders

10/31/16

To show their gratitude for the men and women who risk their lives each and every day, Mustang Creek Estates of Frisco, a residential assisted living and memory care community, recently hosted a First Responders Appreciation Luncheon in conjunction with Envoy Hospice. The event helped demonstrate the senior residents’ and team members’ support for those in their area who do so much for others without giving it a second thought. Frisco police officers, firefighters and EMTs attended the cook-out style luncheon or swung by to take a meal to-go. Through kind words and conversation, the residents and employees at the community extended their thanks to these public service members and encouraged them to continue their valuable work.

“Whether police officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel or sherrif’s deputies, we rely on them to protect us and keep us safe,” said Scott Smith, executive director of Mustang Creek Estates of Frisco. “We are grateful for what they do, and as a community we wanted to show them how much we care. It was rewarding to see the smiles on their faces as they interacted with the residents, and we felt a sense of pride as we made a positive difference in their lives.”

This event truly demonstrated how active seniors in the Frisco area recognize the sacrifices first responders make all year round. The residents and staff hope that their efforts set an example as they encourage others to show their appreciation as well.
