Dallas-based Riveron Consulting celebrated its 10th anniversary with Day of Giving, an opportunity for Riveron offices around the country to revitalize their local communities through acts of kindness that leave an impact. Riveron volunteers spent time building a Habitat for Humanity home for Klaw Reh and Su Meh and their family of four in the south Dallas neighborhood, Joppa. This is one of the last remaining Freedman’s towns in Texas and will provide outdoor space for the family near the Trinity Forest, the largest urban forest in the world. The family will join the neighborhood of 50 other Habitat homes, with another 50 planned for construction.
“When we started thinking about ways to celebrate this milestone, our team quickly came to the consensus that we wanted to do something for our communities where we live and work,” said Lacy Lange, managing director of operations for Riveron. “As a consulting firm, we provide our clients with a sound financial footing and we thought we could bring that same expertise and assistance to a local family right here in Dallas.”
Riveron offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Minneapolis and Washington D.C. will also participate in Day of Giving throughout the month, partnering with their local Habitat for Humanity, United Way, BestPrep and Chicago Cares on revitalization efforts, planting a community garden, building a mural and preparing students for college.
