The global law firm Jones Day has announced that the following three Dallas lawyers have been named to the Firm's partnership, effective January 1, 2017.
Jay Johnson, currently of counsel in the Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection Practice, is a former federal prosecutor with 14 years of combined government and law firm experience in litigation, investigations, and regulatory compliance. Having previously tried 10 cases to juries in federal court, he defends companies facing complex litigation and regulatory inquiries, advises on corporate compliance measures, and manages incident response, with an emphasis on data privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property issues. Mr. Johnson also co-founded the Firm's Global Privacy & Cybersecurity Update, a bi-monthly publication produced by a global 30-attorney team.
Mark W. Rasmussen, currently of counsel in the Securities Litigation & SEC Enforcement Practice, is a seasoned litigator and trial lawyer with experience representing companies, corporate officers, and directors in a variety of matters, including securities and shareholder litigation, regulatory and internal investigations, FCPA compliance, merger litigation, contract disputes, antitrust, ERISA, trade secret claims, and bankruptcy litigation.
Lindsay A. Hedrick, currently an associate in the Labor & Employment Practice, is an experienced litigator and trial lawyer, representing clients in complex business lawsuits, employment litigation, and labor disputes. She has tried more than a dozen cases to verdict in state and federal courts, and has arbitrated union grievances. Ms. Hedrick has experience in lawsuits involving the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, retaliation, and employment-related tort and contract claims. She has represented clients in the energy, financial, pharmaceutical, health care, manufacturing, transportation, retail, and education sectors.
The Firm named 47 new partners in all.
