Aracely Rios, CPA
Partner, Assurance Services, Dallas
Aracely Rios joined Weaver in 2002 and has 15 years of experience in public accounting. She plans and supervises numerous types of employee benefits plan (EBP) audits, including defined contribution, such as savings, employee stock ownership plans, and 401k/403b plans; defined benefits plans and master trust investment accounts, which include auditing and verifying valuations of alternative investments. Rios consults on EBP engagements for a variety of plan sponsors for privately owned companies, nonprofit organizations and government agencies. She has extensive experience in accounting and auditing a wide array of government and nonprofit entities that consist of public school districts, private schools, colleges and universities, cities, foundations and social service agencies. A certified public accountant (CPA), Rios is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), the Dallas CPA Society chapter, and the Association of Latino Professionals for America. She also volunteers through the Junior League of Dallas and has served on several civic board of directors. Rios earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting at the University of North Texas.

Cory Bunyard joined Weaver in 2007 and has more than a decade of experience managing tax compliance and consulting services for corporations, S corporations, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, and trusts and estates. He works primarily with clients in the construction, manufacturing, real estate and service industries. A CPA, Bunyard is a member of the AICPA, the TSCPA and the Construction Financial Management Association. He is also is the treasurer for the Wednesday Tax Forum, a Houston-based group of experienced CPAs and attorneys that meet weekly to discuss current tax developments and strategies. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Sam Houston State University.
Dan Graves, CPA
Partner, Risk Advisory Services, Austin
Dan Graves has more than 10 years of internal control process and IT risk management experience. He joined Weaver in 2007. Graves provides internal audit, internal control consulting, risk management, fraud prevention, business management, process improvement and technology consulting services for public sector, private sector and publicly held organizations. He regularly works with state agencies, institutions of higher education and multi-national public companies. A frequent presenter to professional organizations, Graves is a CPA and a member of the AICPA, the TSCPA, the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies. Graves earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Hardin-Simmons University.
Shelby Lackey, CPA
Partner, Assurance Services, Conroe
Shelby Lackey joined Weaver in 2016 as a part of the merger with HLSK. She has nearly 20 years of experience in public accounting and plays a key role in providing audit services to clients in the public sector industry. Lackey manages complex audits, including those with single audits over federal funds. She is a CPA and a member of the AICPA, the TSCPA and its Houston chapter, the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and the Texas Association of School Business Officials. She serves on the Texas School Districts Accounting & Auditing Conference committee of the TSCPA. Lackey earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Sam Houston State University.
Reema Parappilly, CISA
Partner, IT Advisory Services, Houston
Joining Weaver in 2008, Reema Parappilly has more than 10 years of experience delivering IT advisory services to public and private sector entities. As a core member of the firm’s IT advisory practice, she concentrates on IT audits, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, System and Organization Control (SOC) reporting, internal control/process-focused IT consulting and data analytics. A Certified Information Systems Auditor, she is a member of ISACA (originally named Information Systems Audit and Control Association), IIA, AFCOM International (originally known as the Association for Computer Operations Management), Insurance Accounting and Systems Association and the Cloud Security Alliance. Parappilly earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance and information systems and a Master of Science degree in information systems technology from George Washington University.
Jon Roberts, CPA
Partner, Tax and Strategic Business Services, Houston
Jon Roberts joined Weaver in 2013 and focuses on federal and state taxation of partnerships, corporations, S corporations and limited liability companies. His industry focus is primarily on oil and gas exploration, production and service companies. He provides tax planning for businesses and individual clients, as well as closely held family groups. A CPA, Roberts is a member of the AICPA, the TSCPA and the Houston Wednesday Tax Forum. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Abilene Christian University.
Sarah Roberts, CPA
Partner, Assurance Services, Houston
Sarah Roberts joined Weaver in 2008 and has 10 years of experience in public accounting. She focuses on financial and compliance audits, as well as attestation engagements for clients in the financial services, public sector and renewable energy industries. A CPA, she is a member of the AICPA, the TSCPA, the GFOA Special Review Committee, the Texas Hedge Fund Association and Texas Wall Street Women. Roberts earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance, graduating summa cum laude from the University of St. Thomas and a Master of Science degree in accountancy, graduating with honors from the University of Houston.
