Kirk Gibson
Amerant Bank, formerly known as Mercantil Bank, the largest community bank headquartered in Florida with eight banking centers in Houston, has announced Kirk Gibson as Vice President, Dallas Relationship Manager. Gibson will be based in the Bank’s new Dallas Loan and Deposit Production Offices - slated to open in the first quarter of 2019.
Bringing 12 years of experience and deep understanding of the financial and lending industries to his new role, Gibson will focus on the Middle Market and Commercial Banking segments and will be responsible for forming relationships with businesses located in the Dallas Metroplex.

Prior to joining Amerant, Gibson served as Vice Present, Relationship Manager – Corporate Banking for Texas Capital Bank in Dallas where he managed more than 30 relationships totaling $80MM in commitments and $50MM to $60MM in outstanding’s. Previously, Gibson held various roles at Texas Capital Bank and at Comerica Bank.
Gibson earned his Bachelors of Business Administration from Marshall University where he majored in finance with a minor in management.
Active in the community, Gibson serves on the Young Life Committee in Allen, Texas and as financial treasurer for Allen Young Life.
