A strict 40-hour workweek, with evenings and weekends spent relaxing, are a distant memory for many people. More than 10 million Americans work at least 60 hours per week and recent data shows that people are working three hours more per day during coronavirus lockdowns than they were prior to the pandemic.
In a new study, SmartAsset analyzed data for the 100 most-populous U.S. cities to find where worker burnout is most likely. Dallas ranks eighth-highest overall. Three cities in the DFW area also crack the top 25 cities: Arlington (#13), Irving (#17) and Plano (#24).
