$1.685M Luxury Home of Designer Betsy Freeman Hits the Market

Interior designer is world renowned for her work at The Vatican

The home of designer Betsy Freeman, 5 Bretton Creek Court, has been listed for $1.685 million. The estate, built in 2013 by Platinum Series and designed by Betsy Freeman herself, showcases the designer’s signature eclectic and ornate style. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Denise Henderson of the company’s Dallas/Park Cities office has the listing.

Freeman is known best for her work at The Vatican. She was commissioned to design the interiors of an American Cardinal’s Private Residence in The Vatican. Freeman applied what she knew about the Cardinal to create a space that reflected his personality and blended it with a traditional Vatican essence. Freeman’s other notable works include the Carnegie Towers in Manhattan and a historical brownstone renovation in Chicago.

“Working on so many diverse design projects over the years gave me great ideas to incorporate into my own home,” said Betsy Freeman.

Each of the residence’s three bedrooms, two bathrooms, one partial bathroom and 5,100 square feet of space feature unique attention to detail.  Freeman’s luxury enhancements are evident from the marble, glass and walnut staircase, onyx-top buffet and the red gum wood kitchen cabinets and rich walnut flooring throughout the home.

Freeman designed the master bedroom with a dark marble fireplace, vaulted ceilings, an expansive walk-in closet with built-ins and a glamorous master bathroom. The bathroom showcases black marble floors, an oversized soaking tub and custom cabinetry.

The kitchen is open and bright with a breakfast bar, double oven, gas and induction cooktop and granite counters. Moving through the kitchen and living room, sliding barn doors give way to a sitting room with a walnut feature wall and shelves of tobacco glass, a marble fireplace and wood beam ceiling accents. The indoor living areas offer a seamless indoor-to-outdoor transition with large folding glass doors leading to the outdoor living space. A fireplace, covered lanai and outdoor kitchen provide an easy entertaining option.

“Betsy’s designs are stunning and reflect so much character. She and the builder created a space that’s warm and inviting, while very highly designed,” said Denise Henderson.
