J.P. Hart Lumber recently announced the ground breaking of its lumber and building materials distribution center within Progress Park, a 3,300-acre, master-planned business park located 40 miles north of the DFW Metroplex in Sherman, Texas.
Hart Lumber contracted with the Sherman Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO), represented by Bob Hagewood and Cannon Green of Stream Realty Partners, to purchase 37.6 acres along Progress Drive in Sherman’s Progress Park III for its new facility. The $5.5 to $6.5 million capital investment will create 37 new full-time positions as part of the first phase of its expansion to Sherman.
“The development of Hart Lumber’s distribution facility marks a milestone as we continue, in partnership with SEDCO, to build on the momentum of the established corporate roster within the business park,” said Bob Hagewood, senior vice president, Stream Realty Partners. “Progress Park offers an array of low-cost, development-ready sites with BNSF rail service available, abundant utility capacity, and aggressive economic incentives for companies expanding into the North Texas region.”
