Leading Network For Women In Commercial Real Estate Recognizes Top Talent in Industry
CREW Dallas (Commercial Real Estate Women) members lead groundbreaking and skyline-changing deals daily across North Texas. And, every year, CREW Dallas - the leading organization for decision-making executive women in commercial real estate celebrating its 40th anniversary - gathers to recognize those women who have achieved extraordinary accomplishments in the male dominated field.
On Thursday, Feb. 20 at Gilley’s Dallas, CREW Dallas recognized Sally Longroy as the winner of the 2020 Outstanding Achievement Award (OAA) and Rachel Yockey as the winner of the 2020 Rising Star Award. The OAA is the highest award and recognition given each year to a CREW Dallas Member. The Rising Star Award highlights a new individual to the industry or young professional member who has contributed to CREW Dallas in the past 12 months and displays a commitment to the commercial real estate industry.
“It is with great pride that CREW Dallas presents the 2020 Outstanding Achievement Award to Sally Longroy and the 2020 Rising Star Award to Rachel Yockey,” said Vicki Summerall, 2020 CREW Dallas President. “Both Sally and Rachel are extraordinary commercial real estate professionals and have made significant contributions to both North Texas, as well as CREW Dallas. We’re thrilled to watch as they continue to shape the North Texas commercial real estate market in monumental ways.”
Longroy, 2020 OAA recipient, offers legal advice to clients on a wide variety of environmental matters, most often related to commercial real estate, corporate, or capital transactions. She enjoys finding ways to strategically manage environmental risks, address remediation matters and ensure compliance with environmental laws, all while achieving her clients’ goals. In addition to addressing the environmental aspects of transactions, Longroy helps her clients to structure, negotiate, and close complex commercial real estate transactions, including the purchase, sale, subdivision, and development of property, and the leasing of property for a variety of uses, including office, call center, data center, industrial, restaurant, and agricultural uses. Prior to commencing her law practice, Longroy was first an analytical chemist then gained extensive regulatory experience with laws governing the registration and manufacturing of pesticides and animal drugs.
“CREW Dallas members are the best in the commercial real estate business, and it’s been a privilege to work with many of them in a variety of capacities throughout my career in the industry in Dallas,” said Longroy. “It’s an honor to be recognized at this year’s Outstanding Achievement Awards, and to stand in the company of many other successful women who have previously won the OAA.”
Yockey, 2020 Rising Star Award recipient, is a Dallas native and commercial real estate consultant specializing in environmental due diligence with AEI Consultants. She provides expertise locally and nationally on environmental regulations as they pertain to commercial real estate transactions and evaluating risk. Yockey strives to provide creative solutions to complex due diligence proceedings which provide CERCLA liability protection to clients and limiting risk exposure. In addition to providing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), she works with a specialized and collaborative team at AEI Consultants to provide national coverage on due diligence services, including Property Condition Assessments (PCA), Zoning Analysis Reports (ZAR), and ALTA Surveys.
“I am honored to receive the CREW Dallas Rising Star Award,” said Yockey. “CREW Dallas has been instrumental in shaping my career in commercial real estate since moving back to Dallas in 2010, and being a part of this network of like-minded, driven women is an inspiration to continue to seek both professional and personal success.”
